Sedentary work is killing our health

Over the years of working in IT, I started having back problems, headaches, and occasional “oops, something popped.” At first, I thought it was because I was no longer young and the years were taking their toll, but wait, I'm not that old.

Because of the fast work pace, you somehow don't pay attention to it. In fact, you work yourself to exhaustion, and you put your health and how you feel on the back burner. Moreover, it seems that if you work through pain and difficulties, it is much better and more interesting than building your “normal and balanced” working day.

So it turned out that besides sitting in meetings (online, of course) and living in a browser, there is no time for anything else. For walks, physical activity. And I came to a clear understanding that this needs to change.

But you know what? The body is an amazing machine that adapts to change. The first steps are always difficult: your muscles hurt, you want to return to your comfort zone, and your brain is looking for excuses not to strain. But if you go through this period and make movement a part of your life, the changes will be noticeable.

After a few weeks of regular activity, I began to notice that:

— My back pain began to decrease

— Headaches were less frequent

— I had more energy even after a long day at work

— My mood improved and my concentration increased

The hardest part is taking the first step. The gym, yoga, walks, exercising in the morning are not so important. The main thing is to move! Even small changes will make a difference.

💡 If you think you don't have time for sports, sooner or later you will have to find time for treatment.

You will be surprised how different your working day can look when you have strength, energy and no constant discomfort.

Sedentary work should not take away your health - get it back!!!!
